Had another new first with Gracie today and it makes me really happy. For background, ever since bringing Gracie home, I noticed that she wouldn’t jump on anything. Even more, she would lie down on anything. No cat beds, no blankets, just the carpet. It made me so sad especially during her recovery from surgery when she only felt comfortable sitting on the concrete. It literally made me cry every night when I went to sleep.
The last few days I’ve been home sick and napping on the floor in my living room so I could also give Gracie some attention. When I’m sick I sleep a lot. Well, I had the blanket in the living room kicked down by my feet. Gracie started walking towards the kitchen and saw the blanket. She looked at that blanket and then gave me a look like “Is this ok?” I just smiled. She then curled up and napped on the blanket. Twice. I’m so glad she is getting more and more comfortable in the house.
