It’s been a few days since I posted an updated because I’ve been spend all of my time at home with Gracie. She is like a whole new cat. I took the collar off on Saturday and she has done so well, that I have left it off. She is healing well and is mostly back to her new self. She has picked up a few new habits. For the first time with me home, she is sleeping on the steps taking in the sunshine. I hate to bother her there!
The next new habit is the cutest ever. She will sit up and I will start to pet her. After a few minutes she will take her paw and push my hand down. She will then flop down and rest her chin on my hand, making it into a pillow. It’s so cute. I will try to get a video when I can.
Tomorrow is our follow up with the docs on her surgery. I’m confident she will get a clean bill of health, but I also temper that with the chance something isn’t. I’m a little nervous about the biopsy results on her bad eye. I’m sure if something bad (like cancer) was present they would have called me, but still, I’ll be happier when I know.
