It’s been a bit since I updated, and I’m happy to report that Gracie is completely healed and is pretty much herself after the surgery and recovery. Her eye actually has a beautiful white scar and you can hardly notice that the eyelid is sown shut.
We are spending a lot of time playing with each other, although she is also showing a more independent streak, which is nice. She will leave me to sit in the late afternoon sun and now she is hiding downstairs while I am upstairs.
She will still wake me up in the night not knowing where I am (and as I write this she just wandered in), but I usually yell her name and then give her a few pets before drifting back to sleep.
Here are some updated pictures with a few of her eye. Her eye looks pink in the picture, but it is really white.
